This list was put together as a BIG THANK YOU to all Service Member’s andVeterans from myself (a retired Army Veteran) along with the companies, retailers, and restaurants that are on this list.
Below is the list of Outstanding Military discounts. From companies offering year-round savings for service members and veterans to establishments that provided a special service around specific dates (such as Veterans Day, Memorial Day or the 4th of July). You’ll find a range of retail, travel, restaurant, educational and fitness discounts.
As you know often, offers change so at the time you are reading this list some offers on this list may not be offering the discount or deals anymore and even if you hear of a company that is offering military discounts, it’s always smart to call ahead to make sure the location near you is offering the discount and confirm the details.
Service Members and Veterans Discounts and Deals
24 Hour Fitness
This gym offers active, reserve and retired military personnel and their spouses membership discounts. Check with your local club for details.
Military Discounts on Retail
All year, you can save 10% off firearm components for veterans, active-duty personnel, reservists and first responders. The military discount is applied at checkout in the online shopping cart.
American Giant offers a 20% military discount to active-duty service members, reservists, National Guard members, veterans and their family members on products across the site. You’ll have to verify your military eligibility.
Veterans, reservists, active-duty personnel and their dependents get 10% offclothing brands both regularly priced and on sale. You must create a Buckle account and log in so your military status can be verified.
The Home Depot
Receive 10% off regular-price and sale merchandise in stores for active-duty personnel and veterans.
Get 10% off in-store purchases only. Present your military ID to get the discount.
The store offers a 10% military discount to active-duty military and their immediate family as well as retired veterans and VA recipients. Valid military ID card or valid Veteran Identification Card required. On the weekends of Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Veterans Day, Lowe’s extends the discount to all veterans who served honorably and who present a valid Form DD214 or other proof of service. For extra discounts, check Lowe’s gift card deals.
Active and retired military and civilian military employees and their spouses who join or renew membership receive $30 in rewards that include a $10 Sam’s Club gift card and free rotisserie chicken. Available through Jan. 31, 2019.
Take 20% off party supplies for veterans and active-duty military year-round. If military spouses log into their soldiers’ accounts, they can also receive the discount. A valid military ID is needed.
Shop bags and backpacks for disc golf and other sports and get a 15% military discount if you’re a veteran or active-duty military. Just use the code “THROWVET” at checkout on Amazon to save on any Throwback Sports bag.
Military Discounts on Restaurants
Participating locations give 10% off for active duty and veterans. Simply ask and bring your military ID with you.
Chuck E. Cheese’s
As a way to give back to those who have served, enjoy a special military discount. When you come into the store, just ask about the specials for military families and show valid military identification.
The 17th annual Golden Corral Military Appreciation Night is available on Veterans Day to any person who has ever served in the United States military. If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or reserves, you are invited to participate in Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation dinner.
Hard Rock Cafe
During the cafe’s military appreciation nights (held on different dates depending on which location you’re visiting), bring your valid ID for 15% off food, nonalcoholic beverages and retail purchases. Check the Hard Rock Cafe near you for specifics.
Enjoy a 10% military discount daily — and a special 20% military discount every Tuesday throughout the year. The weekly discount is available at participating locations. You must present a valid military ID.
McCormick & Schmick’s
McCormick & Schmick’s is celebrating its 18th annual Veterans Appreciation Event on Veterans Day. Veterans can choose a free entrée from a special menu. You must provide proof of military service. Contact your local McCormick & Schmick’s, as this is valid at participating restaurants only. Also, space is limited and reservations are highly recommended.
Military Discounts on Tech and Entertainment
Certain locations offer military pricing after 4 p.m. for people with an active military ID. Search for nearby theaters on the AMC site, and when you choose one, you’ll be able to see whether it offers the special discount by looking under the “Features” box at the bottom of the page.
Current, former and retired members and family members of the U.S. military, National Guard and reserve can receive discounts on certain Apple products through the store’s Military/Government Purchase Program.
Want to study with the world-renowned instructors of the Berklee College of Music from anywhere? Berkleemusic.com offers a 30% tuition discount to all military students. This includes active-duty military students who use tuition assistance to pay for a portion of their tuition as well veterans who use the Montgomery GI Bill.
Birdies for the Brave
All active military, reserve and military retirees get free and discounted tickets throughout the PGA Tour season. Nonretired veterans plus one guest are eligible for discounted $25 general admission grounds-access-only tickets. It takes place November 16 through November 22.
Some locations of this chain offer a military discount. To see if the location near you does, enter your ZIP code under the “Regal” logo on the homepage. Scroll down to the theater you plan to visit and click on the theater name. Locate the movie you’re inquiring about and click on the showtime. The page that is presented will provide you with pricing information, as well as military discount availability.
Military Discounts on Travel and Hotels
With a valid active-duty United States armed forces identification card, active-duty personnel, along with their spouses and dependents, are eligible to receive a 10% military discount on the lowest available rail fare for most Amtrak trains. To do so online, use the “Other Discounts” tab of the fare finder at the beginning of your search and select “Military” for each passenger as appropriate to receive the discount. As an extra thank you to the troops, uniformed military personnel are allowed to go to the head of the ticket line.
This hotel chain offers discount hotel rates based on U.S. government per diem for military personnel traveling on official business or leisure. Book online or call 1–800-WESTERN. You’ll need to present an official identification card or work orders at time of check-in.
Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort
Disney has a “great relationship with the military, with all sorts of discounts and deals available,” says Kim. Military discounts for Disneyland can be found here; Walt Disney World here. And check out Shades of Green, an Armed Forces Recreation Center that is a partner of Walt Disney World and operated by the U.S. Army. It offers tax-free accommodations for all branches of the military and their guests just minutes from the Magic Kingdom. Read the eligibility fine print for Shades of Green to see if you qualify.
Norwegian Cruise Line
Members of the military and their families receive discounts on select cruises, up to 10% off for veterans and active-duty military, National Guard or reserve.
Military Discounts on Cars
Alamo Rent A Car
Car rental discounts are offered to military on official business or tour-of-duty orders as well as during leisure/non-work trips. A military or government-issued ID is required at the time of pickup. See here for further details and codes for booking online.
Year-round, take up to 40% off motorcycle and motocross lifestyle apparel, footwear and gear for veterans, active-duty service members, retired military, reservists and their families. Customers must create an AXO account or log in to take advantage of this special offer.
If you’re an active-duty or reserves member, a veteran within one year of discharge date or a retiree (or a spouse of the aforementioned), you can buy a car at the military price, which is less than the MSRP, plus combine it with other current incentives. Get more information, including which cars and trucks are eligible.
Buy a discounted motorcycle through the Harley-Davidson Military Sales Program at Exchange, the only on-base, factory-authorized distributor for Harley-Davidson to military personnel stationed, or on TDY assignment, abroad.
